First, of course, I’m not complaining. How come so many DVD’s in England are so cheap to buy at rock-bottom prices where a lot are cheaper to buy than hire? You can say DVD is fading out but I think not. DVD HD had bad reviews and that is also why Sony ignored DVD HD for the PS3 and they took-up Blu-Ray for the console. Fare enough, DVD HD and Blu-Ray has better sound and picture but there’s still a question mark with DVD HD and some DVD HD and Blu-Ray films are still too expensive and so are the blank discs to burn on. Anyway, most people still use the original DVD so how come so many DVD’s are so cheap? I bought PRESUMED INNOCENT yesterday and the price was the lowest at £2.93. I remember seeing the BEVERLY HILLS COP trilogy for sale at Play.com ages ago for £5.99 and it would cost about that to hire them from any rental shop. Why hire them when you can buy them for the same price and keep them?

How do the distributors make their money? It’s the same with DVD’s and CD’s in the newspapers where the CD’s and DVD’s are free with a copy of THE TIMES or THE DAILY MAIL on Sundays for example.

As I said, I’m not complaining and who would, it’s like give-away-life with these items but I find it so interesting why this is happening.
